5. References - Prepare a Works Cited. Correct format is crucial.
6. Final Letter - All corrections noted by your teacher should be made. Be sure your name and the date are on it at the end of your document. Attach the letter to your Works Cited.

and conclusion...so 6-8 paragraphs total) - It should be double-spaced.
- Your letter will be edited by your teacher on-line.
- Use 1 inch margins and 12 or 14 point font (no
‘all caps’ or excessively slanted, hard-to-read fonts, please!). - You may insert images where you think they are appropriate
for supporting your information. - Be sure you use proper business letter formatting.
- Remember: the more specific examples you provide from your research, the stronger your defense will be of da Vinci's most important work.
- Choose a contemporary person/entity to which Leonardo da Vinci will write a
letter.
- The letter should be written in first person.
- The purpose of the letter is to defend and explain why he should be chosen for the award of "Artist/Scientist/Inventor of the Year".
- The content of the letter should be sure to address the following as it relates to the area you researched:
